Hi, I’m John! I’m a born and raised Cincinnatian who accidentally started a business in undergrad and ran it as president for 9 years. After turning down millions in Series A funding rounds, I founded the Plunk Foundation with the same team and we served 30M people before I stepped down and to join the Aerospace PhD program at the AI Bio Lab under Dr. Kelly Cohen.

While in the program, I currently work as an AI Engineer at Buildings and Builders and as fractional AI builder at DisruptionNow. I collaborate with technical teams to build AI systems with transparency, explainability, and privacy by design

On average, I am speaking 30 times a year, from scientific conferences, to Cincy AI week, to MidwestCon. 

Catch me serving on boards across nonprofit, civic, and technology sectors. I also advise organizations on responsible AI, privacy strategy, and executive leadership. Lately, the success from this has tapped me into writing bi-partisan policy to promote humane tech.

Two of my biggest passion projects are:
1. Project leader of Risk Research and Responsible AI for the Cincinnati AI Catalyst
2. Founding board member of SHIELD, which runs the Global Online Safety Conference.

Speaking of passion, I have created 221 musical compositions for fun!
