Dr. Quentin Young serves as the 11th President of the University of the Cumberlands, where he is advancing a bold vision for accessible, future-focused education in the digital age. With a professional background in finance, technology, and institutional leadership, Dr. Young is a champion for both educational affordability and innovation that transforms the student experience.
Under his leadership, Cumberlands is positioning itself at the forefront of higher education innovation by leveraging artificial intelligence to personalize learning, expand student support, and modernize academic delivery. He believes the future of higher education lies in scalable, data-informed, student-centered models that align purpose with progress.
Before becoming president, Dr. Young served as Executive Vice President for Finance at Cumberlands, working collaboratively to implement major initiatives, including the Cumberlands Commitment and the One Price Promise.
Dr. Young holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology, an M.S. in Information Systems Security, an M.B.A. with an Accounting emphasis, and a B.S. in Accounting, all from Cumberlands.
