David Whelan
For 7 1/2 years, I had the worst chronic pain condition known to medical science take over my body. Leaving me without a left foot, feeling like I was being lit on fire and stabbed repeatedly and like my leg was being crushed in a vice.
In 2020, i had a life changing procedure that drastically reduced my pain. Now, I'm living life on my terms and I'm coming for everything they said I wouldn't have!
Now, I race with Team USA's Paratriathlon team (4th in the country) currently being developed for the 2028 Paralympics. I race in Ironman 70.3 Triathlon. I've brought the 70.3 European Championship home to Cincinnati! I have raced in the hardest organized Triathlon in the world in Norway and am the USAT National Champion for 2023.
So, how did I go from being on the brink of needing long term medical care to living my dreams as a professional athlete, motivational speaker, and disability advocate? Send me a message, I'd love to chat.
The big question I get most is, "what's next?"
Major announcement coming up September 28th. You won't want to miss it!
